Unlike many so-called farms, at the Bell & Birdtable you can actually see the animals in one of Somerset's older apple orchards where, in season, you can sample some of the rare English varieties available from us.

Pigs
The Oxford Sandy & Black. Superb smallholders pig,
renowned for the quality of it's meat.

Sheep
The Wiltshire Horn. Known as the "Meat Sheep"
this horned sheep produces excellent lamb and hogget.

Geese
West of England type, the traditional West
Country goose (no longer pure bred).

Hens
Marans, lay deep brown eggs. Lavender Aruacanas,
a South American bird that lays blue eggs.
